Crown Relocation Review Part 1

It’s been almost two months days since we said good bye to our ENTIRE home contents, everything but the kitchen sink, fridge freezer and washing machine was packed. According to our online tracker our goods are enroute from the UK to Indonesia and total transit time will take 40 days.

How did it all go?

Living in London we had to request two parking spots outside our house for the movers truck.

The 4 guys that came to pack our boxes were very professional, they had obviously done this many times and were happy to chat. Tea and coffee breaks were very limited, they just got on with the job and worked in a silent proficiency each taking one room each.

Contents in each room consisted of

Kitchen: All appliances, cutlery, plates, pots and pans

Living room: 50″ TV, IKEA 4 seater sofa with chaise and footstool, books, countless toddler toys

Main bedroom: Bed, wardrobe, chester draws, book shelf, side tables, baby travel cot, clothes that we didn’t need for December in NZ ie. winter coats, jumpers, winter boots etc.

Toddler room: cot bed, chester draws, book case, winter clothes + many more toys, moses basket

Things that couldn’t be boxed: cleaning products, wicker baskets (wood), things that had batteries in them were removed and put into a seperate bag in case of leakage

Misc: hallway shelves, washing cupboard stuff that have accumulate over the years but won’t throw away, extention cables, frames, picnic baskets etc. Living together for 5 years + children creates lots of crap

Keep you posted when the shipment arrives in Auckland
